Both on A2 paper, original figures about 42 cm high. Right hand one is ink over soft pencil underlay – a 100 minute study; left hand one a twenty minute quicky in charcoal pencil.
One of the required modules of the course is on ‘Advanced drawing techniques’ which includes segments on markmaking and drawing & painting a number of subjects. I wanted to get my hand and eye back in, and discovered a local artists’ society which (for a fee) provides both tutored and untutored sessions.
Is this part of your course too? How do you get to do drawing classes by post? Or do you do extra classes for yourself – and is it acknowledged in the course? Or is it just for your own enjoyment?
And well done too. I find life drawing a bit like your title – sometimes it works and many times it doesn’t.
